Brindley service 0 out of ten
Used them for 3 years now. Never had any problems. Any problems with rental property they were quick to resolve.
1. Arrived at beach home AFTER 5pm with 2 car loads of groceries and luggage only to find that the previous tenants had all of their lawn chairs, bikes, body boards, laundry, etc. in front BLOCKING the parking area and entry into the home. That was annoying and would have been fine if that was it...
Pool had sand in it, possibly from the strom the week before. But you could tell it wasn't cleaned that day. Also didn't see a pool person all week.
9.. Brindley Beach told us that we are given four chairs for sitting down on the beach. THAT WAS A JOKE... The four chairs were for VERY YOUNG children or very MAL NOURISHED GUESTS. My friend who reflects someone of average weight and height sat in the one chair then stood up with the red miniature chair still attached to his sides.
For all that rent Garbo's Getaway enjoy. It's a nice home.
We would recommend the home to other families. I would also recommend that you continue to call Brindley service if needed,every day until they take care of the issue.
This past June, my wife and children were looking forward to a wonderful beach experience on the OUTERBANKS with friends who we were meeting up with from Main. We were hoping that Dream Longer was going to be an Awesome experience. However it was hindered by Terrible Management and Poor Customer Service from the BRINDLEY BEACH CO.
My Downer 10 list puts in perspective how the week at DREAM LONGER played out.
Had a very positive experience over a rainy Labor Day weekend while looking at rental properties for next season. The weekend Staff (Sat, Sep 3) were VERY accommodating and took the time to answer all of my questions in a low-key, straightforward way with no pressure. Left with 3 houses in mind and when I'm ready to rent Brindley will get my business. Thank you!
2. Attempted to get plates out for dinner only to find multiple plates that had food on them. I'm talking full slices of Turkey in the cabinet. How does that happen. Don't you see it on there when putting them away? That ruined my dinner that night.
...Therefor our children could not sleep, eat, or go outside. But COULD sit in a beach chair.
4. The Garbage containers were left in the garage for us to walk out to the road. That's not how it works.
8.. NO LINENS... Upon arriving, there were no linens for the children's beds.

The home is located near the beach and the basketball court was nice. Not much traffic so the grandchildren enjoyed themselves riding big wheels in the driveway.
3. A full container of Garbage was left in the Kitchen cabinet for us to unload. Wasn't the Cleaning company they hired supposed to do that???
10. We PAID full price and did not get full service. There was nothing done to make it right and no return phone calls apologizing or taking blame. Poor all the way around. From the Company to the OWNER unfortunately...

We were suppose to get a photo session with the package. Tried to call the studio before we went down to outer banks to schedule a session. We had family members who were only stay three days. Never heard a thing from the studio. So no photo session.
When you arrive the person there is suppose to take you around for a final inspection. Since we were in traffic my son in law was there by 1600. The person there just said goodbye and didn't do a walk through. Another thing you pay for , but didn't receive.
5. With 3 full bathrooms and 8 people they only provided us with 2 rolls of toilet paper. After calling them it took them a full 24 hours to drop additional off. No comment!!!
It's OCTOBER and for me to be writing about this now, say's something about the lasting affect that my experience had on me, my family and I'm sure our friends. I spoke to the MGR of Brindley Beach and almost left it at that. And it saddens me to think that they tried to rectify everything by offering us a $150.00 cleaning fee TOWARDS our NEXT STAY with them which I emphatically denied. I asked for the owner to contact me and I never heard back from the owners or from Brindley Beach. I'm surprised they did not contact me because of the following experience's.
These reviews can become lengthy so I'll do my best to outline the PROBLEM AREAS and let you decide to use Brindley Beach in the future. I think I already made my decision.

We will not be returning do to the fact a grandchild is starting school and this home isn't available . So we are going to Duck in August with another agency.
6. Our Hot tub did not work for 2 days that we were there. And the tech who worked on it told us that this one (hot tub) is on it's way out. We only have 6 days there and 2 DAYS WITHOUT a HOT TUB is a BIG DEAL to me. We based our decision on a hot tub.
7. At the beach you have spiders and the webs that come along with them. But there was no attempt to clean the windows or the doors leading out to the decks of the balcony. It would have been nice to enjoy the balcony and the view of the ocean the very first time without COMBING through webs at FIRST GLANCE. There was only ONE nasty broom in the whole house. It quickly became the outdoor broom.
We stayed at Garbo's Getaway in September. The place was what we expected. The upstairs refrigerator had a ice maker but it didn't work. Called for service to ask if it did before and get service . Phone was answered and I informed the lady of the situation. She said she would send someone out. Never happened. We bought ice.
