This place has some serious issues. My wife and I each got a burrito, mine was chicken and hers was beef. Each burrito had about a teaspoons worth of meat in each one. To make it even more insulting, the menu says the burrito is made with a 15 inch tortilla. This is very misleading, in that, it leads you to believe you are getting a nice big burrito for the $11.00 your paying for the beef and $8.00 for the chicken. What you actually get is a burrito about 6 inches long that is way over wrapped and filled with 99.9% beans and rice. They should call it the dough,bean and rice burrito because that's exactly what you get... A TOTAL RIPOFF!!! We were having dinner with two other couples which makes a great ending to this review. Are you ready for the kicker? This RIPOFF RESTAURANT will not allow you to split the check. We spent 15 minutes trying to figure out between the cash and credit cards between us, how this over priced bill was going to be paid. My wife and I live here on the Outer Banks and I can assure you this, we will never eat at the Coastal Cantina again!
My husband and I were looking for a place with a water view to have some drinks and an appetizer and that is what we found here. Great drinks and the queso was super good. The staff there was supper friendly and we really enjoyed our visit there. We will be going back again.
This place has a nice view, but that's about it. The food was bland and overpriced for the little food you get. Everyone we encountered was rude. Our server was unattentive and we only saw her twice. She brought it up several times indirectly that she was not happy splitting our checks, "I guess I'll go split these checks". We weren't splitting items. Just me and my husband ordering stuff for us and the next couple in our group and so on and so on. Save your money.
We were lucky enough to get a table here on our way out of the Boardwalk and were impressed by both the food and the service. We enjoyed both the guacamole and the pizzadillas. Kudos to the servers for successfully negotiating the constant wind and dealing with our two dogs.
Great staff and nice views. Wonderful place for watching the sunset over a few drinks and tapas.
