Great place to stay! The room is very nice and doesn't feel like a typical hotel room. You'll need to be on the 3rd floor to see the ocean, we're on the 2nd and can't see over the dune. The restaurant at the resort has an amazing breakfast! There's also a huge selection at the spa for many different treatments. The Sanderling is a great spot to treat yourself and a loved one!
The wedding venue was great! It was very intimate and the food was some of the best wedding food I've had! I wouldn't recommend the spa. The managers were very rude to the bride, and because someone was 10 minutes late, they refused to do her make up. I would expect better service given the price, especially for a week day wedding. Find a different hair salon but the wedding venue was lovely!
The reason they didn't get 5 stars it's that basically every meal that we had at the resort had something wrong with it. Missing a side, forgot to include sauce, waitress couldn't understand their own ordering form, etc. They were quick to offer apologies and did their best to fix the issues. However, when you are paying this much for a room it is hard to justify that many mistakes.

Planning the Purple Moon Herbs Studies Veterinary Apprenticeship at the Sanderling Resort, it's a beautiful resort on the beach with views of the sound, just perfect. An ideal setting for our holistic Veterinary Apprenticeship and Retreat, and the students enjoy the resort and their hospitality! We will continue holding our courses there for as long they will have us !
We ate at the lifesaving station and had an excellent meal. The waitstaff was attentive and the food was excellent. It is one the year round restaurants open on the island and I recommend a trip here for brunch or dinner!
