3. I understand that being near the ocean, humidity and salt can affect the structures, however, the decking on the outside of the building was green with mold and spider webs everywhere. Deck and structure needs to be power washed.

1. At the time of the reservation, we were advised that two rooms with King Sized beds would be available. This was not the case.

This year was like going back in time. I mean 70's I mean really.

4. We found it interesting that there was only a few items for your use such as toilet paper, coffee filters, etc. Had to go out and purchase more to last the week.

5. In the rooms themselves, blinds were broken, the screen door to the outside deck was lying on the ground and was completely rusted out. So, leaving the sliding doors open with no screen can cause issues. One of the bedroom doors was damaged. One of the bedrooms had the ceiling drooping along the wall, possibly water damaged. Only a TV in the living room and Master Bedroom. None in the lower bedrooms. In the laundry room, after removing the ironing board to use, major clumps of dust had formed. Appears cleaning crew ignored it.

Nice outdoor pool

Four of us recently visited Barrier Island Station in Duck, NC during the week of September 23, 2017 and were less than satisfied with the facility and housing conditions. A summary of the following should put it in perspective.

Plus well gate works and they actually have a attendant at gate. Nice indoor pool with a hot tub. Nice play room with board games.

It's a good place don't get me wrong. Just a shock from there last visit to this one as far as rooms.

Nice villas. But the 50 step climb to our place was getting old fast. Especially moving in and out carrying heavy items. But the place was clean and mostly in good shape.

Hit and miss on this place.

2. In order to get to our room, we had to go through 4 different doors. Very difficult to bring in your belongings or groceries.

Room was clean and well stocked with plenty of linens and home goods. Our family really enjoyed the indoor pool. Would like to see new mattresses, beds could definitely be more comfortable. Convenient location.

Was there about two years ago and very very nice.

Nice place to stay. Loads of stairs. So be prepared. Could use some furniture upgrades, but otherwise we'll appointed.

7. Definitely would not stay at this facility again or recommend it to anyone.

6. Brought these issues to the front desk and was advised issues would be addressed. When we left the following Saturday, the issues were still the same.
