I love my new John Thomas bedroom suite and John Robshaw bedding! The UC staff was so helpful when picking out the furniture and style of bedding. Shopping here is always a favorite for birthday, holiday, and special occasion gifts too!
This is one of the nicest home accent stores I have been in. My wife and I always make a point to drive up to Duck just for this shop. They carry an eclectic mix of furnishing and accent pieces that emphasize laid back class (not pretentious furniture, but stuff you'd expect in an upscale cottage at the beach). You can find some bargains when they have a sale. Expect high prices, but expect good things out of it.
We went in because they seem to have cute stuff BUT we encountered discrimination here. Nowhere else in Duck, in OBX did we experience this, everyone is super friendly, accommodating, and offer help/suggestions. EVERY single staff here ignored us (several people who walked in with us were greeted, given small talk to), we just got several looks that were not welcoming. If this happened to one of us, even two, maybe I could say they were busy and were helping others but all three had the same experience and the staff walked by us MANY MANY times, even squeezed their way by since it's a small store. No matter how cute and unique products are, sadly, I'd never recommend this store to anyone.
